Hi people, they say everything good must surely have an end. Modern technology has facilitated the rise of more powerful and smarter robot vacuums. One of them is the eufy X8 Pro, which comes with a tangle-free design and up to 2× 4,000 Pa of suction power.
In June 2024 eufy announced the retirement of eufy X8 Pro series.
What is eufy X8 Pro
The X8 Pro is a long-serving robot vacuum servant from eufy, a popular smart home appliance brand. This robovac comes with several exciting features at a modest price of $699.99 at the time of its release. Below are some of its key features:
- Active Detangling Roller Brush: This robot vacuum houses a V-shaped roller brush that uses auto-detangling technology to reduce hair tangling during cleaning.
- Twin Turbine Technology: This vacuum houses a powerful Twin Turbine system that gives it 2 x 4,000Pa of suction power. That's twice as much as its predecessor.
- iPath Laser Navigation: This vacuum uses powerful laser technology to create accurate maps, including in low-light environments.
Alongside the standard X8 Pro vacuum, eufy also released the X8 Pro SES. As the name hints, this vacuum comes with a standalone Self-Emptying Station. The Omni station provides self-maintenance features like auto-emptying and charging. It also houses the 2.5L dust bag that can hold dirt for up to 45 days.
Sadly, it's time to say goodbye to this family of handy robot vacuums. In July 2025, eufy announced that the company will retire this model after almost three years of exemplary service. Time for change is nigh!

The eufy X8 Pro User Guide & Troubleshooting
Still using the X8 Pro? We've got you covered. Our customer support team is here to help with anything you need, and replacement accessories will continue to be available for purchase. Feel free to reach out to us at support@eufy.com.
Like any other robot vacuum, the eufy X8 Pro might throw up a few errors every now and then, leaving you confused. For example, many users have asked us what to do if this robot is unable to leave the docking station.
In that case, start by removing any obstacles on its path and confirming that the station is securely connected to a power source. Remember that the base station must sit on a hard, level surface. In addition, remove any obstacles 3ft on the left/right and 6ft in front.
Another thing to do is to ensure that the battery is functioning correctly and is not damaged or old. Of course, you'll need a new battery if that's the case. Flip your robot vacuum over and grab a small screwdriver to unscrew the battery cover. Now gently remove the battery and replace it with a new one. You can buy a new battery for around $40.
If everything else fails to work, instantly contact eufy's support team. They may ask you to send a few photos of the device before recommending your next action.
