1. What's the difference between this bullet-ptz camera and using two separate cameras?
The two built-in cameras work together more intelligently than separate devices, providing both a full view and a detailed close-up from a single installation. Auto-tracking begins with either camera, then PTZ zooms in and follows the action. Tap in the app to instantly move the PTZ to a point on the bullet cam's view.
2. How does bullet-to-PTZ tracking work?
The fixed camera detects motion and triggers the PTZ to rotate and zoom using AI tracking. If the bullet and PTZ angles differ, tracking handoff may be slower. For faster response, point the PTZ toward your key area for quicker detection.
3. How do I get the best performance from my solar panel?
Orientation and tilt angle are key. Face the panel toward the equator (e.g., south in the Northern Hemisphere), place it in a shadow-free spot, and set a 30°–45° tilt based on your latitude—flatter in summer, steeper in winter for maximum charging.
4. Does eufyCam S4 support 24/7 recording?
Yes, connect it to direct power (5V/2A+ adapter or higher) for 24/7 recording (requires camera version V1.0.5.4+). A microSD card or hard drive is required for storage (when connected to HomeBase™ 3, requires HomeBase™ version V3.7.2.8 or later).
5. What is eufyCam S4's preset positon feature?
The preset position feature lets you save specific camera angles and set one as the default position. With one tap, the camera moves quickly to any saved spot, making it easy to monitor key areas.
6. Can it work standalone or with other Hombases / HomeKit?
It works as a standalone device (connected directly to your router) or with HomeBase™ S380 for more features.
HomeBase™ 2 , Homebase™ mini, Homebase™ Professional, eufy NVR and Apple HomeKit are not currently supported.
7. What privacy features does eufyCam S4 have?
It supports dynamic privacy zones, keeping designated areas masked during PTZ movement. All footage is stored locally with advanced encryption, ensuring continuous privacy protection and secure data storage.
8. What is Fusion Link?
Fusion Link acts as an expansion port for future eufy accessories, including support for long-range image transmission and more.
Note: HomeBase™ S380 is required for Fusion Link.
1. How do I use a Wi-Fi module?
The Wi-Fi Module needs to be used with the eufy NVR. It connects to the eufy NVR's back panel interface via a special Type-C cable.
2. How do I bind a new eufy Wi-Fi camera to my NVR via a Wi-Fi module?
Ensure the Wi-Fi module is connected to the eufy NVR and the indicator light of the module is solid blue. Use the eufy app to bind Wi-Fi cameras normally by scanning the QR code. During the binding process, select “Bind to eufy NVR”.
3. How do I switch a Wi-Fi camera tethered to HomeBase2/HomeBase3 to an NVR?
Please ensure your NVR is bound to the eufy app. Tap the NVR icon on the homepage and select “Switch Device and Videos.” Only devices linked to HomeBase2/HomeBase3 support one-click migration; update unsupported devices before migrating.
4. What devices are currently supported by the Wi-Fi Module?
Currently, the Wi-Fi Module (NVR) only supports a limited selection of Wi-Fi Cams, Indoor Cams, Floodlight Cams, Video Doorbells, and Sensors. Please refer to the Wi-Fi Module sales page for a complete list of supported devices.
5. What is the maximum number of Wi-Fi cameras that a Wi-Fi module can support?
The access capacity of a Wi-Fi module is limited by the number of channels (16 channels) of the NVR itself. For a Wi-Fi camera that is powered on 24/7 and outputs streams continuously, a maximum of 4 cameras can be connected to the NVR.
