Love this sock. Buy this instead of the owlet. It’s literally the same thing except not as expensive. I’ve been using it for around 2 weeks now. My 6 week old is a big fan of sleeping in his swing/bouncy seat and I’m terrified of SIDS/positional asphyxiation. I purchased the sock + camera bundle directly from the Eufy site because they had a coupon. Check both websites just to make sure. It gives me so much peace of mind to be able to check the app and see his vitals. Here’s the pro’s and cons list:Pros:-peace of mind, heart rate/SpO2 data is constantly refreshing and gives you a real time analysis-sleep data is helpful to see when baby typically wakes up during the night. It’s been super helpful with us starting soft sleep training. Not 100% accurate though-you can adjust the heart rate settings to have a notification sent when pulse reaches a certain threshold. “Normal” heart rate is 90-220 BPM but I was able to change the settings to send a notification from 110-200 BPM just to be safe.-camera picture quality is amazing, audio is super clear, fast, and you can speak through the camera/have it play lullabies to help soothe the baby. My husband flirts with me through the microphone lol.-baby doesn’t care that the sock is on at all. He doesn’t show any discomfort or try to shimmy it off. Idk if he even notices it honestly-camera is super easy to mount, no need for holes in the wall. You can literally just fasten it to the side of the crib (bedside bassinet in my case) also love the 360° panning because my guy likes to wiggle and move around. Wish it was a bit more wide angle of a lens, but I also have it mounted to the bassinet and not the wall.-you can choose whether to get notifications when there’s a loud noise/crying if you’re sleeping in different rooms. It’s very accurate.-notifications play at full volume on your phone even when it’s on do not disturb/silent. Notifications also sound through the sock base if your phone isn’t in the room with you.-Battery life is great and the sock fully charges within an hour and a half. he can wear it all day and night. I charge it during his morning feed (he takes awhile), a bath/feed, or contact nap and it’s fully charged by the time it’s over. He essentially wears it over 20 hours a day.- i haven’t had issues connecting it to the charger, I know some other people had issues with this. Sometimes you have to adjust it into place a little since it’s a magnetic charger, but the sock base will verbally say “sock charging” or “sock disconnected” and have an indicator light so you know whether or not it’s actually charging.-it tells you when the sock isn’t in place correctly or comes off completely instead of letting you receive inaccurate data. Love this feature.-comes with 3 different sock sizes so you can still use it as baby growsCons:-sleep data is a bit inaccurate. The movement data is on point and tells when baby is wiggly/peaceful. But oftentimes when he’s breastfeeding or just chilling in his crib (eyes wide open) it’ll say he’s in deep sleep or drifting off to sleep because he’s been still for awhile and his heart rate is calm. I only really value the night time sleep data for sleep training for this reason. Remember It’s not a medical device.-It doesn’t send notifications for lower SpO2 levels. you can’t adjust the threshold for SpO2 levels, only heart rate. I wanted to set notifications for when his SpO2 levels reach under 93 since the lowest it should be is 90, but it isn’t an option and doesn’t send notifications related to SpO2 anyway. Only heart rate. Apparently after some research they’re pretty synonymous with each other, but I have anxiety. Probably the biggest bummer about this product.-this one is probably obvious but it doesn’t work at all without WiFi. Our internet went out one day and it really sucked because I couldn’t get data for over 18h. I didn’t have to recalibrate anything when the internet went back up though, it just picked up where it left off.-Sometimes the lullabies sound a little weird through the speaker, like it’ll sound choppy or like it’s buffering. Idk what that’s about but my baby doesn’t care lol. Not a big deal to me.This was a long winded review, but I wanted to be as in depth as possible. BUY THIS INSTEAD OF THE OWLET! All in all this is a great product and I would recommend it to any parent, especially first time parents with horrible anxiety (like me lol) it’s a great baby shower gift if you’ve got some extra funds or the parents are very close to you. I didn’t have the money for it upfront, but the Eufy website has payment plans through affirm which was super helpful. I’m very glad I purchased this and I’ll be using it for my next baby too.
