FAQ
1. Does eufy Entry Sensor E20 require a connection to HomeBase™? Which HomeBase™ models is it compatible with?
Yes, it needs to be connected to HomeBase™. Ensure your HomeBase™ is running the required version: HomeBase™ Mini (v4.0.5.2 or above); HomeBase™ S280 / HomeBase™ 2 (v3.4.1.2 or above, released after 2021); HomeBase™ S380 / HomeBase™ 3 (v3.7.2.6 or above); HomeBase™ Pro (v4.1.4.3 or above).
2. How long does the battery last?
Under normal conditions, it can last for 5 years.
Note: Data based on internal lab testing. Actual performance may vary depending on usage conditions.
3. What is the function of the bypass button?
Press the bypass button for 2 seconds to temporarily disarm the device. When pressed, opening the door will not trigger an alarm when the system is armed. Bypass lasts for 120 seconds, after which the sensor will return to normal.
4. What is the detection distance for opening and closing? What does dual-sided detection mean?
Detection works within a 0.8 inch / 2 cm radius. Dual-sided detection means you can place the magnet on the left or right side of the main unit, and it will detect the opening and closing of doors / windows.
1. How can I reduce false alarms?
Avoid placing the sensor in direct light or near heat sources. Do not place the sensor near or facing windows, heaters, fireplaces, or air vents, as these can cause false triggers. Multiple pets gathering together (weighing over 80 lb / 36 kg), or pets jumping and climbing, may trigger false alarms. Do not aim the detector at stairs, furniture, or any other objects that pets could potentially climb on. Do not install the sensor at a height lower than 6 ft (1.8 m), and ensure the sensor is vertical with the floor.

3. Does eufy Motion Sensor E20 require a connection to HomeBase™? Which HomeBase™ models is it compatible with?
Yes, it needs to be connected to HomeBase™. Ensure your HomeBase is running the required version: HomeBase™ Mini (v4.0.5.2 or above); HomeBase™ S280 / HomeBase™ 2 (v3.4.1.2 or above, released after 2021); HomeBase™ S380 / HomeBase™ 3 (v3.7.2.6 or above); HomeBase™ Pro (v4.1.4.3 or above).
4. What is the recommended installation height and angle?
For the best detection performance, we recommend installing at a height of 6 - 7.5 ft (1.8 - 2.3 m). The sensor is more sensitive to movement passing through its field of view, so it is not recommended to place it facing the door or path directly. Instead, place it at an angle to the target detection area.
5. How can I turn on Pet mode? Are there any limitations?
You can turn Pet mode on or off in the app. Pet mode can reduce false alerts for pets under 80 lb. However, if pets jump onto elevated surfaces such as sofas or furniture, the sensor may misinterpret them as a human or a large animal. Additionally, if multiple pets gather closely together, the sensor might perceive them as a single large animal, which could trigger a false alarm.
1. Does eufy Flood and Freeze Sensor E20 require a connection to HomeBase™? Which HomeBase™ models is it compatible with?

3. How does it detect water leaks and freezing?
When the metal at the bottom of the sensor comes into contact with water, it triggers an alarm to help quickly locate the leak. The built-in temperature sensor will trigger a freezing alarm when the ambient temperature drops below the set threshold.
4. What is the function of the extension cable?
The extension cable comes with a slim probe that can detect water leaks in narrow gaps. When suspended, it will activate the alarm when the water level reaches a certain point.
