Press the test button to enter Test Mode for a built‑in self‑check. For a more realistic test, use a smoke detector test spray designed for smoke alarms. Candle smoke or water vapor may be filtered by the dual‑beam photoelectric sensor and are not suitable for testing.

How does the low‑power strategy work?

To achieve a 5-year battery life, the device uses a low‑power strategy where device status, including battery level and connection status, is updated every 20 minutes. Smoke detection and alarm notifications remain active at all times.
